Gulf Coast Power Association Announces Robert King as Board President

Robert King is Founder and President of Good Company Associates, an energy and utility policy and business development consulting practice in Austin, Texas. He is also CEO of SPEER (Southcentral Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource). He has over 30 years’ experience in the area of utility and resources policy, business and project development in the area of new energy and utility-related technologies and is also a registered engineer and registered lobbyist. Good Company Associates (www.GoodCompanyAssociates.com) assists a wide variety of clients and client groups in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, advanced meters and demand response services, energy storage and related emissions and environmental issues, and water conservation. Bob has a Masters of Public Affairs degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin and a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

GCPA is a non-profit membership trade organization of individuals and corporations mostly in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast region. GCPA was formed in 1983 as the Gulf Coast Cogeneration Association. The name of the Association was changed officially in 1995 to the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA). GCPA’s mission is to promote an improved understanding of issues and opportunities impacting contemporary power markets. This is achieved through the creation of many educational and networking opportunities where members and other industry professionals can learn and exchange information and ideas.
