Austin November 2016 Luncheon

"Alternative Ratemaking: Is It Time for a Shock to the Rate-Setting System?"

Join us in Austin for this presentation which will compare and contrast traditional rate-setting practices with alternative ratemaking mechanisms and consider arguments for and against substantive changes to the ratemaking process in Texas.

Our speaker Darryl Tietjen is the Director of the Rate Regulation Division of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, where he has been employed since 1991. He holds MBA and BBA degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to attending graduate school, he was employed at a commercial bank, where he was principally involved in investment activities and financial reporting. Darryl is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has twice served as chairman of the annual TSCPA-sponsored Energy Conference, for which he has been a planning-committee member for more than 15 years.
