Mexico February 2018 Breakfast

This is the fourth meeting of a series of breakfasts to be held in Mexico City under the auspices of the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA). At this breakfast, we will discuss the methodology to calculate and the transitional adjustments to the Final Rates of Basic Supply (Metodología de Cálculo y Ajuste de las Tarifas Finales del Suministro Básico) published by the Comisión Reguladora de Energía (CRE) in November, 2017 and the implementation of these processes over the first few months.

Verónica Irastorza is an Associate Director at NERA Economic Consulting and head of the Mexico office. She has 20 years of experience in regulatory and strategic issues related to energy. In 2015, she led the NERA team that advised the Mexicangovernment on the design of the electricity market and long-term auctions. Until December 2012, she worked as Undersecretary of Energy Planning and Technological Development at SENER. She has extensive experience in electricity and gas tariffs, market design, pricing and retail access and provided analysis for NERA's electric sector projects in California, Canada, Mexico, New England and Ireland. She has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master's Degree in Public Policy from The University of California, Berkeley.

Non-Member Pricing: $34 USD/650 MXN

  • Pre-registration closes at 12 noon Tuesday, February 27th. If registration is closed, walk-in registrants are welcome on a space-available basis at the event. There will be a $5/90 MXN surcharge for walk-in registrants.
  • Government employees are encouraged to contact us directly for guidance on registration.
