A review of the highlights of ERCOT's Final Seasonal Assessment of Resource Adequacy (SARA)

Join us for a review of ERCOT’s Final Seasonal Assessment of Resource Adequacy (SARA) for Summer 2019.  According to the preliminary report issued in March 2019, ERCOT's current planning reserve margin for the summer is a historically low 7.4%. ERCOT President and CEO Bill Magness remarked that “In all of the scenarios studied, we identified a potential need to call an energy alert at various times this summer.”  Warren will discuss the updated forecast and the various mechanisms and tools it will utilize to maintain system reliability.
