This is the seventeenth meeting in our breakfast series held in Mexico City under the auspices of the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA). On this occasion, the Women's Energy Network (WEN)– Chapter Mexico has joined efforts with GCPA to present this discussion. Given the recent events in the energy sector, we will discuss “Political Context of the Energy Sector: Initial balance of 2019”.

Carla Medina is a partner of Públika Consultores since 2012. She was Director of Public Affairs at Asesoría Estrategia Total SC from 2005 to 2012.

Previously, she served as Deputy Director of Liaise with Social Development Units in the Ministry of the Interior from 2002 to 2004.

Carla Medina holds a master’s degree in Political Sociology from the Dr. José María Luis Mora Institute, a Diploma in Advertising from Columbia University, and a Bachelors’ degree in International Relations by Colegio de México.

Mariana Cordera is a partner of Públika Consultores since 2012. She was Director of Public Affairs at Asesoría Estrategia Total S.C. from 2005 to 2012. From 2002 to 2005 she was an Advisor of the Secretary of the Interior.

In 2001 and 2002 she served as Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Mexican Embassy in the United States.

Previously, she was Advisor to the Executive Director at Electoral Training and Civic Education of the Federal Electoral Institute for 3 years.

Mariana Cordera holds a master’s degree in National Security by Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in Law and National Security by the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Pre-registration closes at 12 noon Thursday, November 14th. If registration is closed, walk-in registrants are welcome on a space-available basis at the event. There will be a $5/90 MXN surcharge for walk-in registrants.
