Austin September 2019 Luncheon

"Empowering the Permian"

Our speaker, Joshua Runion, will speak to the growing needs, obstacles and opportunities as they currently exist in the Permian. In addition, he will offer his perspective on solutions for both operators and transmission providers within the evolving electrical landscape of West Texas.

Joshua Runion
Founder and President, Pumpjack Power

Joshua is responsible for leading, directing and executing the strategy and growth initiatives for Pumpjack Power, the only REP designed to serve the Oil & Gas industry specifically. Prior to founding Pumpjack Power, Joshua served as a private retail energy consultant for 12 years. With his primary focus addressing the deregulation of West Texas, he strives to improve upon the operational strategies of mass serving Option 1 Retail Electric Providers in the pursuit of providing transparency and customized service. The load profile of the oil and gas industry is unlike any other consumer of electricity and it was Josh’s belief that they should benefit financially and operationally from this very important distinction. As a result, following Pumpjack Power’s establishment in 2018, its partners are reducing their operational expenses across the oil field and are empowered to focus on growth.

Joshua is also the co-founder and President of Power Infrastructure Partners, an energy, procurement and construction company addressing the main concern of connectivity in the Permian and Delaware basins.

Committees & Associations:

He is a Black Gold member & supporter of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association and is an active committee member for their Electrical Coalition which is focused on powering the Permian.

A member of TEMA (Texas Energy Managers Association)

A new member to the Gulf Coast Power Association

An active member & supporter of both YPE (Young Professionals in Energy) & the McCombs Energy Initiative
