Event Policies
The GCPA's antitrust policy aims to promote fair competition and prevent monopolistic practices, while its media and event policy establishes guidelines for interactions with the press and the organization of events to ensure transparency and integrity in its operations.
Antitrust Statement
The Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) strictly prohibits its Board of Directors, Association Members and any persons who are participating GCPA events (“Attendees”) from using their participation in GCPA events as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that could violate the antitrust laws. GCPA recognizes the importance of the antitrust laws to preserve and foster competition and is committed to strict compliance with these laws.
Antitrust Compliance Guidelines
GCPA understands that our events and activities provide opportunities for competitors to gather, discuss issues, and share business and industry information. Therefore, the GCPA will conduct our activities carefully and cautiously to ensure that GCPA does not foster any circumstance that could result in actual or perceived violations of the antitrust laws.
GCPA will not advise its Members, Attendees or the public on the applicable laws; however, GCPA mandates that Members and Attendees are proactive in ensuring their compliance to federal and state antitrust and competition laws. GCPA Members and Attendees are encouraged to consult with their legal counsel if they have any questions about whether a particular action raises antitrust concerns.
