"Perspectives of a New PUC Commissioner"

Please join us to welcome Comm. Brandy Marty as she shares her perspectives about her new role and the industry she now helps regulate. Gov. Rick Perry appointed Commissioner Marty to the PUC on August 21st. Commissioner Marty most recently served as chief of staff for the Office of the Governor. She has also served as the governor's deputy chief of staff, director of the Budget, Planning and Policy Division, and as deputy legislative director as House liaison. Commissioner Marty was also policy director for the governor's 2010 primary campaign. She has previously served in several capacities working for elected officials within the House of Representatives. Commissioner Marty received a bachelor's degree in government from the University of Texas and a law degree from St. Mary's University.
