Houston February 2014 Luncheon

“Adding New Capacity in ERCOT”

Our speaker Darrell Hayslip will present information that addresses both the ERCOT Resource Adequacy issue and the provision of significant new generation and energy storage capacity utilizing both new and conventional technologies at prices that are less than gas-fired peakers. His presentation will include key information on TAS Energy’s Generation Storage technology, which enhances ERCOT’s summer capacity, operational flexibility, and energy storage needs.

Darrell has been a leader in the ERCOT market and with GCPA for over 20 years. He served in various senior executive roles at Dynegy, Calpine, EON, and Xtreme Power using gas-fired generation, renewables, and energy storage technologies. Today he works with numerous clients using a broad range of energy technologies, advising and leading in the areas of development, policy, origination, strategy, financing, market valuation, and commercial operation of energy assets. Darrell also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at the Energy Storage Association in Washington, DC.
