This is the seventh meeting of a series of breakfasts to be held in Mexico City under the auspices of the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA). At this breakfast, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities of transmission projects in Mexico and the United States.
Our speaker Bob Smith is Vice President of Transmission Planning and Development at TransCanyon, LLC and Director of Business Development at Bright Canyon Energy Corporation. He has been in these roles since 2014 when both companies were founded.Before assuming these positions, Bob held leadership roles at Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (PNW) and Arizona Public Service Company (APS) in the areas of Transmission Development, Transmission Planning, Construction and Maintenance, and Transmission and Balancing Authority Operations. Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Arizona.
