Our speaker Mohith Murlidhar will share a 2024 summer weather forecast following the exceptionally high temperatures in the summer of 2023. He will focus on the rising penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and evolving consumer electricity demand behaviors, and how all these factors contribute to the  challenge of ensuring consistently accurate net demand energy forecasts for trading and reliability purposes. Mohith will also examine the latest advancements in leveraging AI to manage the combination of weather extremes, DER penetration and human behavior changes and how this affects the ability to predict load shape for this coming summer. 

Mohith Murlidhar, Product Manager for Load Forecasting at Innowatts, plays a pivotal role as one of the architects behind the Innowatts award-winning forecasting algorithms. He holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field.
